The best of spring's new food and drink openings
Humble Crumble at Bicester Village
It may be Britain’s most nostalgic dessert, but it wasn’t until 2018 that the world’s first dedicated crumble bakery opened in London. Born out of the idea that there should be sweet treats that warm people up in the same way that ice cream cools them down, Kim Innes set to perfecting artisan, on-the-go crumble pots that taste as delicious as they look, crafted from high-quality and sustainably sourced ingredients.
WE LOVE: Sample the Bicester Village Eton Mess special; chilled raspberry and strawberry crumble, topped with crushed meringue and generous servings of strawberry-infused whipped cream and raspberry coulis.
Cèntric at La Roca Village
Taking its place in the heart of the Village, La Roca Village’s latest restaurant offers the perfect spot for refreshment and relaxation during a day of shopping. Gourmet by design, its small tapas dishes – spicy potatoes, porcini mushroom croquettes and salted cod fritters, to name a few – spotlight the heart of Catalonian and Mediterranean dining while giving a nod to culinary global influences.
WE LOVE: Stuck for choice? Turn to the assorted tapas selection for an expert curation of dish pairings.
Die Kleine Meisterei at Ingolstadt Village
Inspired by the vibrant energy of Spain’s curated foodscape, the latest eatery at Ingolstadt Village allows guests to customise and curate a menu of sandwiches and pretzels around their personal taste. Buttery pastries and other tempting sweet treats are also available, making it the perfect grab-and-go option after a light bite in the Village.
WE LOVE: Seek out its jam-filled doughnuts, chocolate-dipped cookies or indulgent cheesecakes when in need of a sweet treat.
Joselito’s Restaurant at Las Rozas Village
With more than 150 years of experience and six generations of family ownership, Joselito stands out as a true icon of Spanish gastronomy. After the buzz of its kiosk in Las Rozas Village, comes a sit-down dining experience that fuses healthy food with quality ingredients in one beautiful, vibrant setting.
WE LOVE: Its signature charcuterie selection is, quite simply, not to be missed.
Cho Gao at Maasmechelen Village
Blending authenticity with modern global influences, Cho Gao brings its fresh perspective on Asian cuisine to Maasmechelen Village. Already renowned for its locations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the latest outpost brings hungry shoppers a contemporary menu filled with signature dishes. Think steamed sea bass with soy and zesty ginger, warming Thai green curry or vibrant teriyaki salmon, carefully paired with Asian-inspired cocktails to perfectly complement every bite.
WE LOVE: No matter whether it’s a leisurely lunch or a sit-down meal after a day of shopping, the matcha tiramisu is the perfect finale.
Gardens Café at Wertheim Village
Barista-style coffees, beautiful homemade cakes and muffins, and nutrient-packed smoothies and bowls are the order of the day at Wertheim Village’s latest pop-up. Nestled in the heart of the Village, Gardens Café is the perfect pause during a day of shopping for light lunches, a quick cup of coffee and everything in between.
WE LOVE: Honest, conscious and made with love, expect sustainably sourced ingredients and fresh food quality.
Lievità at Fidenza Village
Fusing traditional Neapolitan cuisine with innovation, Italy’s first sustainable pizzeria chain, Lievità, is a masterful example of quality and seasonal craftsmanship. Using only the finest ingredients, the eatery has been featured in the prestigious Gambero Rosso Guide and, since 2024, held the title of ‘Best Gourmet Pizza’ on the 4 Ristoranti show. Now, you can sample its award-winning pizzas at Fidenza Village.
WE LOVE: While you can’t go wrong with a classic Margherita, don’t overlook the Etna and Puttanesca stone-baked pizzas.
