Ingolstadt Village: Between Art Nouveau and the Present
This year, Ingolstadt Village is focusing on a theme deeply rooted in Bavaria’s cultural identity: the close connection between design, craftsmanship, and everyday life. Under the title Nouveau Bavaria, the Village is exploring an aesthetic inspired by Munich—a city considered one of the historic centers of Art Nouveau.
Ingolstadt Village thus sees itself as a place where fashion, craftsmanship, and design find their place today—a concept that runs through the entire Nouveau Bavaria concept. The brands also reflect this vision. Brands such as Lodenfrey, Aigner, and Rosenthal exemplify a blend of Bavarian tradition, quality, and creative identity.
Art Nouveau Reimagined
Nouveau Bavaria is visually complemented by the work of paper artist Anja Shahinniya (Shirin Sha). Her delicate works draw on the formal language of Art Nouveau and translate it into three-dimensional spatial installations crafted from paper.
