How was Beatriz Furest born?
Beatriz: It was born organically, without a predefined plan, but with a clear intention to do things well and to respond to what we felt was missing. We started with bags, and from there a philosophy gradually took shape that has guided the entire brand.
What words define the brand’s philosophy?
Carlota: Authenticity, identity and intuition.
What makes the brand recognizable?
Carlota: It is a discreet brand, recognizable without needing to impose itself. As one client said: “BF is not trendy, but it’s trendy”.
The key silhouette?
Beatriz: Slightly loose-fitting garments, designed for comfort and to feel good about oneself.
What does Designed in Barcelona mean today?
Beatriz: It implies a real connection with the city and everything it represents: sensitivity to design, closeness and a taste for well-made things.
On women’s leadership.
Carlota: Today, leadership depends more on ability than on gender. More and more women are driving projects with freedom, and that is the real progress.
