Spotted both on the catwalk and on the street, colour blocking has become one of this season’s key trends. The easiest way to get started if you're not used to wearing fuchsia or orange? Introduce accessories in solid, bold colours. Go for bags and sandals in saturated tones, which are easy to combine with neutral basics.
"Pink, red, orange and purple." These are stylist Beatriz Moreno de la Cova's favourite hues. The general rule to get it right is to look for inspiration in the colours that surround us during the season: intense greens and burgundy in the colder months, pastel shades in spring and bright, saturated pigments in the warmer months.

Wave goodbye to your classic black pumps, silver is the protagonist this spring. From strappy sandals to shiny platforms, patent ballet pumps, mules and bejewelled ankle boots – silver shoes work with just about everything. To get it right, pair them with monochromatic looks in neutral tones. Jeans and a masculine oversized shirt are a safe bet.
The future and avant-garde technology have inspired the catwalk once again this season. This translates into details like metallic leathers, chains, rivets, silver glitter, crystals, metallic mesh and patent leather. What's new this season? Silver is no longer reserved for evenings out. For Beatriz Moreno de la Cova, "a silver handbag is the perfect accessory to go from the office to a party without going home". The alternative to a silver handbag? A pair of metallic sandals, which you can wear with even the most minimalistic look.

After several seasons of western-inspired trends gaining momentum (hello, cowboy boots), "this spring the bohemian look incorporates folk references, with Navajo and Ottoman prints, carved leather details and braided leathers", explains Beatriz Moreno de la Cova. Among the most sought-after accessories are clogs, while an oversized shopper featuring one of the season’s bold prints is another failsafe choice.
Aztec and African art bursts into this season's designs in a riot of colour and pattern. Geometric zigzag patterns, circles, brushstrokes, ikat prints and micro-checks inspired by traditional Maasai designs on bags with a unique character. From braided totes to Navajo-inspired shoulder bags, this is new bohemian luxury.

This spring, Wednesday is leading the trend for dark, gothic glamour. The Addams Family character has influenced both the styles we see on the catwalk and on the street. From flowing dresses to bejewelled bags, creeper-style shoes and fishnet stockings, there are many ways to channel everyone’s favourite anti-hero.
This colour combination has been in style for years, and its distinct personality is synonymous with classic Parisian elegance. For Beatriz Moreno de la Cova, "it represents pure French chic". Quality wardrobe staples acquire a more rebellious edge when mixed with metallic touches – think silk combined with metal rivets, studs and spikes.
