Meet Mentidero: the group behind the Collection’s latest restaurant launch

A fusion of two of Mentidero’s six existing restaurants in Madrid, this new spot brings all the Andalusian flavour of La Sal del Mentidero and grill-inspired menu additions from Las Brasas del Mentidero – both sitting in Madrid’s La Moraleja neighbourhood. “We’re bringing these two concepts together to create a truly unique experience for every Las Rozas Village guest,” says co-founder Lara. And the dining offering extends al fresco, with a large open-air terrace with plenty of seating.

Mentidero Sal y Brasas will serve a selection of simple dishes made from local, healthy produce – ranging from poke bowls with tuna, salmon, chicken and tiger prawns to franguito, a traditional Portuguese grilled chicken dish. Complementary to their varied menu is a menu of classic cocktails and Spanish wines, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Toro. It is however the Bacalhau à Brás that the pair suggest sampling during your visit: “It’s a signature dish of ours, made with salted cod, eggs and potatoes”. If you’re stopping by for a snack, they suggest opting for the Spanish-style fries with bravas sauce and homemade mayonnaise.

Alongside a tempting menu, guests can expect to experience the group’s warm and professional service for which it’s so well known. “Providing unparalleled service is part of our philosophy, and we wanted to bring a slightly more casual twist to this service at our Las Rozas Village location. So, whether you’re catching up with loved ones or having a lunchtime meeting, you can feel at ease while you dine,” says Borja.

When choosing the home for its sixth eatery, the Mentidero Group’s co-founder Borja says the decision was effortless. “We pride ourselves on our curation of experience, style, luxury and class, and seeing as Las Rozas Village combines them all, it made perfect sense for it to become our next restaurant location.”
