Unlock futures fund

Our mission

Empowering women, unlocking the futures of young people, and improving mental health & wellbeing in our local community

The fund

Unlock Futures offers Bicester based charities, non-profit organisations and social enterprises an opportunity to create and progress projects that can bring about real, sustainable change and truly make a difference in our local community.

In celebration of three decades of community partnership, this year’s fund has been increased to £50,000, with a maximum award of £5,000 available to any one organisation. The judging panel is particularly interested in projects that align with one or more of the following key themes:

Empowering women

Projects that directly support the empowerment of women in our community, including gender equality in education, economic empowerment, and initiatives that help women and girls build skills and confidence.

Unlocking the futures of young people

Innovative projects that create a positive impact on the lives of young people in our local area. These projects should aim to raise aspirations, build life skills, and break down barriers to employment, thereby empowering young people to build positive futures.

Mental health and well-being

Projects that promote good mental and physical health in our community by improving access to support and tackling stigma and discrimination.
