Bicester Village Equipment Hire and Luggage Storage Service Terms and Conditions
1. Definition
1.1. “Bicester Village”, “we” or, “us” means Value Retail Management (Bicester Village) Limited, a company registered in England (number 02884096) whose registered office is Management Suite, Bicester Village, 50 Pingle Drive, OX26 6WD;
1.2. “Boutique” means any boutique at the Village which offers the option to reserve a shopping appointment;
1.3. “Equipment” shall mean any of the following items made available by Bicester Village for hire by the Guest: Dog Stroller, Manual Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter or Pushchair;
1.4. “Force Majeure Event” means any event or circumstance outside your or our reasonable control;
1.5. “Lost Property” means Luggage which is uncollected;
1.6. “Luggage” means the bags, cases and other similar items that you wish to deposit with us for temporary storage;
1.7. “Guest”, “you”, “your” means the recipient of the Services, as specified in the online form;
1.8. “Reservation” means a dining reservation at a Restaurant or a shopping appointment at a Boutique;
1.9. “Restaurant” means any café or restaurant at the Village which offers table reservations;
1.10. “Service” means the loan of Equipment and/or storage of luggage by Bicester Village on behalf of the Guest, as described in the online form; and
1.11. “Village” means Bicester Village, 50 Pingle Drive, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 6WD.
2. Introduction
2.1. You can contact us by calling the Bicester Visitor Centre on 01869 366266 or by emailing Enquiry@BicesterVillage.com .
2.2. All Equipment and use of our storage facility is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we cannot guarantee that items will always be available for hire, nor that the storage facility will be available at all times.
2.3. We reserve the right to refuse to offer or refuse to provide the Service at our sole discretion (provided that we comply with the law, e.g. anti-discrimination legislation).
2.4. These terms apply to the Service and set out the terms on which we provide it. It is a precondition of receiving the Service that you accept these terms in full, except that where consents are withheld under data protection law, we may continue to provide the Service to the extent possible without those consents.
2.5. We reserve the right to amend or modify the basis on which the Services are available at any time in order to comply with applicable law and/or regulatory requirements.
3. Equipment Hire
3.1. The maximum hire period of Equipment shall be from the time of hire until 20 minutes after the closing time of the Village on the same date.
3.2. The Equipment shall at all times remain our property, and you shall have no right, title or interest in or to the Equipment (save the right to possession and use of the Equipment subject to these Terms).
3.3. The following clauses apply to specific Equipment:
3.3.1. Dog Strollers
Dog Strollers can only be used for dogs weighing up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds) and must not be used for dogs weighing more.
Dog Strollers are not permitted inside boutiques which operate a “no dogs” policy.
Dogs (except guide dogs) are not allowed (even in Dog Strollers) inside restaurants and cafés in the Village.
You remain responsible for the behaviour of your dog at all times, and will not leave your dog or the Dog Stroller unattended.
We shall not be responsible for:
(i) any loss of or injury to your dog through your use of the Dog Stroller service (unless caused by our negligence); nor
(ii) any harm that your dog may cause to third parties or property.
3.3.2. Manual Wheelchairs, Mobility Scooters and Pushchairs
If you are borrowing this type of Equipment, you confirm that:
- you have been given, and fully understand, the instructions provided by Bicester Village, and had the opportunity to request further information;
- as far as you are aware, you do not have any condition that would impair your ability to safely operate the Equipment;
- you agree not to leave Equipment unattended and will operate it safely and properly at all times;
- you will not make any alterations to the Equipment nor remove any components.
4. Luggage Storage Facility
4.1. In respect of Luggage you store with us, you confirm and agree that:
the aggregate value of all items of Luggage and contents deposited does not exceed £5,000;
Bicester Village does not accept liability for items exceeding this amount;
the bags, cases or containers are in sound condition and fit for purpose;
items are not dangerous, harmful, perishable or fragile, and can be stored at 0°C – 40°C.
4.2. Luggage must be collected no later than 20 minutes after closing time (the “Latest Collection Time”). Uncollected Luggage will be treated as Lost Property.
4.3. Each item will be tagged, and you will be issued a corresponding key fob.
4.4. To collect, you must present the key fob and valid photographic ID.
4.5. If collecting on behalf of another Guest, you must present a signed authority form and photographic ID.
4.6. You must inspect your Luggage at collection. We cannot accept responsibility for issues raised after departure.
4.7. A £10 replacement charge applies for lost/damaged key fobs.
4.8. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject any Luggage that we deem to be too heavy for us to safely carry. Where we determine that Luggage is too heavy to be handled, we may, in our sole discretion, redirect you to an alternative storage location, such as the Concierge Service at the Bicester Village train station, or another storage facility that we believe is able to accommodate your Luggage.
5. Lost Property Policy
- Lost Property will be stored for 6 weeks from receipt.
- Claimed items (with written notice) will also be stored for 6 weeks from the date of claim.
- Unclaimed items after 6 weeks will become our property and donated, recycled or disposed of.
- To collect Lost Property, you must provide a full description and photographic ID.
6. Reservations
6.1. All Reservations made by us on your behalf are directly between you and the applicable Boutique or Restaurant.
6.2. Reservations are subject to availability and may be cancelled by the Boutique or Restaurant.
6.3. If we cannot secure your requested date/time, we will notify you.
6.4. To amend a Reservation, please contact us or the Boutique/Restaurant directly.
6.5. Allergy/dietary requests will be passed on where possible, but must also be confirmed directly with the Restaurant.
6.6. Boutiques and Restaurants are independent businesses; any claims must be taken up with them directly.
7. Data Protection
7.1. To provide the Services, we must hold some personal data about you. Without certain consents, we may not be able to provide the full Service.

8. Liability
8.1. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability which cannot, at law, be excluded or limited.
8.2. We are responsible only for foreseeable loss/damage arising from our breach.
8.3. Excluded losses include: profits, emotional distress, opportunity, sales/business, data/software, goodwill, and indirect or consequential loss.
8.4. Our total liability shall not exceed:
- £5,000 for claims connected with Luggage; and
- £1,000 for any other claims.
9. General Terms
This contract is between you and us only.
- Each paragraph operates separately; if one is invalid, others remain effective.
- Failure to enforce rights does not constitute a waiver.
- English law governs these Terms; disputes fall under English court jurisdiction (non-exclusive).
- Neither party is liable for delays due to Force Majeure Events (including Village closures caused by external events).
- We may transfer our rights/obligations; you may not without consent.
“e.g.” or “for example” indicates non-exhaustive lists.
These Terms (and the online form) constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
