Sitting just a few minutes from Maasmechelen Village, Meuse Valley River Park is the perfect place from which to admire the Meuse river. Flowing across the border between Belgian and Dutch Limburg, this historic river is brimming with nature, so be sure to look out for the varying animal species from waterfowl and beavers to Galloway cattle and Konik ponies.

From the starting point in Kotem, just 10 minutes from the Village, you’ll paddle 9 km across the Grensmaas. Enjoy a rush of excitement as you pass the small rapids at the start of the tour and soak up the scenery as you pass one of the most beautiful spots in the Meuse valley. Delight in the untouched nature and the peace you’ll experience during your journey between Belgium and the Netherlands. Once you spot a ferry, you’ll know the end is near!
