DO GOOD this festive season at Maasmechelen Village
For the traditional season of giving and goodwill, we’re inviting you to join us as we DO GOOD by supporting two local charities dedicated to helping those less fortunate.
How you can help
Visit Maasmechelen Village to donate dry foods for St. Vincentius and hygiene products such as deodorants and shower gels for Kamiano. Leave donations at the Concierge building, on the table next to the Daniel Ost tree.
On 2,3 and 6 December: bring pre-loved toys to Concierge Services so our DO GOOD charity partners can gift them to children in need.
Donate below. We’ll use your online donations to buy dry foods and hygiene products to gift to these two good causes.
St. Vincentius Maasmechelen
St. Vincentius Maasmechelen is an organisation that addresses poverty in the region, offering humanitarian and material support without distinction or prejudice. Its team of more than 15 enthusiastic volunteers helps those suffering the effects of poverty – both overt and hidden – focusing particularly on children. Vincentius offers support through donations of food, clothing and household goods, and distributes food parcels to over a thousand disadvantaged families in the area.
Kamiano
Kamiano is a homeless shelter and restaurant in Antwerp, run by Sant’Egidio's professional staff and dedicated volunteers. As well as providing those in need with regular hot and cold meals, Kamiano also offers showers, medical care and specialist counselling. For those who can’t get to the shelter, Kamiano Mobile takes to the streets three times a week to deliver soup and sandwiches. Although it serves more than 1,000 meals every week, Kamiano isn’t just about food: it’s a place where people can nourish their self-respect and find friendship in a supportive family atmosphere.
