Valentine’s gift ideas for the foodies in your life

From beautifully baked goods to a romantic dinner for two, consider this your need-to-know guide for the most romantic food and drink spots across the Collection this Valentine’s Day.

Sweet somethings

Heart-shaped macarons, limited-edition flavours, and elegantly wrapped gift boxes. Ladurée makes it easy to spoil with special collections available at La Vallée Village, Bicester Village and Ingolstadt Village. Look out for the limited dulce de leche flavour - a creamy caramelised filling that’s perfect for celebrating the magic of Valentine’s Day over a cup of coffee. Might we suggest the fragrant Love Blend from Momus?

For chocolate lovers, there’s also no shortage of delights. Heart-shaped specialities and curated gift boxes are the order at La Vallée Village’s Pierre Hermé Paris and new chocolatier, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, while Maasmechelen Village’s Neuhaus and Leonidas are piled high with pralines, just waiting to be picked and tied up with ribbon. Not forgetting Lindt’s classic gift picks, too, which include the beloved foil-wrapped teddy, available to shop across Bicester Village, La Roca Village, Kildare Village, Wertheim Village and Ingolstadt Village.

Beautiful bakes

They say cake is the way to the heart (no, just us?) and the signature Isphahan creation from La Vallée Village’s Pierre Hermé Paris is undoubtedly too good to pass by. A beautiful union of flower and fruit, this fragrant macaroon biscuit is sandwiched together with rose petal cream, fresh raspberries and a lychee compote.

Arguably as good are The Rolling Donut’s signature sourdough bakes at Kildare Village. Raspberry ripple and red velvet creations nod to the romantic pinks of the season, but with an extensive menu including pairings such as pistachio and salted caramel, you’re sure to find a flavour that speaks true to their heart. Though, we won’t tell if you decide not to share…

Bubbling romance

Toast to the season of love at Ladurée, where bottles of sparkling rosé champagne wait on ice for romantic celebrations across many of the Villages. Or, pull up a chair at Bicester Village’s Cecconi’s, where cocktails are as decadent as the circular bar they’re whipped up on and the steaming bowls of pasta complement a cosy table for two.

If it’s an excellent wine pairing you’re after instead, Signorvino at Fidenza Village offers more than 1,500 varieties of wine – an extensive list representing both celebrated names and niche producers from across Italy’s buzzing landscape.

Decadent dining

As night falls, cosy up by candlelight across the Villages’ restaurants for pure indulgence. Love is in the air – and on the menu – with heart-shaped pizza at Wertheim Village’s La Piazza. Or, enjoy a traditional la dolce vita moment with Fidenza Village’s Parma Menù, Bicester Village’s Cecconi’s, or fresh tapas at La Roca Village’s recently-opened Cèntric.

La Vallée Village is also offering a star-studded dining experience on 14 February with a decadent three-course ‘La Vie en Rose’ menu, created by three-starred chef Christian Le Squer and served alongside live music.

If a cosy night at home is on the cards, then Bicester Village’s La Tua Pasta has everything you need to create one of their multi-award-winning meals for two this Valentine’s Day, including heart-shaped ravioli.
