Before stepping onto the track… I tell myself, “You can do this,” “Let’s win,” and “You’re the best.”
Is the track the new runway? Athletics is a sport that allows you to express your own sense of style. When I compete, I like to look good to feel powerful and confident. I do my makeup, put in hair extensions…
Who are the sport’s big role models? They’re almost always men. Everyone knows Usain Bolt. The same can’t be said for female athletes. But this is changing, thanks to sprinters like Allyson Felix and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. I hope to become a role model for young girls one day.
A goal? On one hand, to graduate and finish my medical studies; on the other, to win an international medal.

Bruno Del Pino

One of Spain’s rising motorsport stars, after two years in Eurocup-3, he will make his Formula 3 debut in the 2025 season with MP Motorsport.

Your first experience behind the wheel… It was in a race in Barcelona. It ended with a crash—though nothing happened to me.
On the thrill of speed: When I get in the car, what I love most is, obviously, the adrenaline rush of feeling like you’re going 300 km/h.
Fashion on the track… Motorsport’s influence goes beyond the circuit. You can see it at every race—so many people come to the Formula 1 paddock dressed in their best outfits. And not just that—more and more luxury brands are choosing drivers to front their campaigns.
Three brands from La Roca Village: I’d go with Golden Goose, Sandro, and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Lucky colour: Black.

Berta Abellán

The Terrassa-based rider and six-time trial world runner-up is a leading figure in women’s motorcycling – an industry where aesthetics also inspire fashion.

Define trial riding. It’s a way of life. In the end, it’s all about overcoming obstacles – just like in life.
When did you start? I started riding motorbikes at four years old. At six, my father took me to my first trial competition. All I remember is the mud. It was a disaster. But I was hooked. In the end, it’s a very family-oriented sport and the atmosphere is incredibly positive. You compete against yourself.
A challenge? My goal is to win the world championship… I’m getting closer. Winning titles and becoming a role model for young girls motivates me.
It takes… Balance, technique and hours of training.
Motorsport fascinates the fashion world. That’s right. The ‘Motomami’ trend has brought motorcycling into the spotlight and inspired many girls who now feel drawn to it. And that’s important.
Three pieces you’d take to the runway: Boots, a helmet and gloves.
On empowerment in sport: There’s still a long way to go. Women’s sports have made progress, but motorsports haven’t yet. We need to give them more visibility.

Just before diving in to start a routine… I think about my world, my planet, the water… and, most importantly, I go over everything I’ve trained for. We work a lot on expressiveness to convey emotions. Our movements, especially our arms and artistic interpretation, are key to achieving top scores.
A story of resilience. Without a doubt, my illness—I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. In fact, that’s why I started this sport. Now I’m fine, but in the beginning, it was tough dealing with so much pain in my knees and joints.
Artistic swimming… Requires effort, a lot of discipline, and concentration. It helps to see a psychologist and to have a coach who respects that you also have a personal life.
On fashion: Fashion is important—it empowers you. Competing in a swimsuit that doesn’t fit well, that feels tight or makes you feel small, is not the same as competing in one that gives you confidence and presents a strong image.

Tania Álvarez

At just 22, she made history by becoming the youngest woman to be crowned European boxing champion. Now, the Catalan boxer has defended her title.

How did it all start? The first time I put on boxing gloves was purely by chance. I was 14. I got hooked. I didn’t just want to practise boxing—I wanted to dedicate myself to the sport. During my amateur debut, I wasn’t aware of anything, I just felt the adrenaline, the excitement of being there.
What has boxing given you? When I started, I was a very shy and insecure girl. Boxing gave me confidence. In a male-dominated sport, I learned to feel strong and brave. When people told me, “This isn’t for girls,” I kept going. And look where I am—European champion! So I encourage all girls who want to give it a try not to be discouraged by what people say. Boxing is empowering. Women’s boxing is gaining more visibility, and I feel very lucky to be part of this change.
The biggest challenge of your professional career… Stepping into the ring at Madison Square Garden. I was the first Spanish female boxer to do so. I lost the fight—it was my first defeat.
Fashion in the ring: Fashion is really important in my sport. Some boxers design their own outfits. Some add sequins, fur… I like short-cut designs.

You ski in a red latex suit – why? It’s a fabric that makes us more aerodynamic.
What’s the biggest challenge? Without a doubt, controlling the extreme speed. It’s thrilling! Also, there are very few women in this sport. It’s a discipline where we compete against men. And sometimes, that’s even more motivating.
Why is fashion important? Fashion shows who you are as a person: it’s a fantastic tool for feeling comfortable.
Two obsessions? I love coats and shoes.
A dream? To reach 230 kilometres per hour.

When the whistle blows… I remind myself that I’ve spent months preparing for this moment, and I convince myself that I’m going to do well.
A pre-race ritual: I don’t have any rituals, but before heading to the pool, I usually say a prayer.
A sporting role model: Michael Jordan has been the athlete who has inspired me the most since childhood.
The Village brands that define your style: Carhartt WIP, Nude Project, and Timberland.
Competing in the Olympics… Is a dream come true. The first Olympics I remember were in 2008—that was when I truly learned how to swim, so to speak.

Aina Florenza

At 22, she is a global reference in women’s rink hockey. The world champion made her senior debut for the national team at just sixteen.

A pre-game styling ritual: Before every match, when I put on my skates, I always start with my left foot and get dressed from top to bottom.
On rink hockey: It’s a sport that requires teamwork. It’s important to promote values like respect and sportsmanship.
Women’s hockey: There are more men than women in the sport. But becoming a role model helps inspire young girls to take it up.
What advice would you give to your younger self? Be brave, believe in yourself, and fight for what you love most—because if you chase your dreams, they will come true.

What has the sea taught you? The sea is an ever-changing environment that you can’t control. It teaches you to adapt because, no matter how prepared you are, it will always surprise you. It’s a metaphor for life: things happen as they do, and you have to adjust. Not everything is in your hands. And when things don’t go well, you have to adjust the sails.
An unforgettable moment: Winning the Olympic medal.
Fashion and sport: Nowadays, fashion and styling are present in every aspect of life. Personally, I like to wear black when I compete because it conveys aggressiveness.
A message of awareness: As a sailor, I’m lucky to spend countless hours at sea, and it’s shocking to see how much plastic ends up in the ocean. We need to raise awareness, avoid plastic as much as possible—especially single-use plastic.
