Shop our sustainable capsule, designed by Vanilla Verloës

Artist and stylist Vanille Verloës is our vintage ambassador this autumn. As a designer, Vanille practices the art of upcycling¹.

With a little care and attention, she recovers, transforms and enhances the pieces entrusted to her, infusing them with new life using sustainable practices. Throughout September, Vanille will share her top tips and host workshops in the Village on the theme of slow fashion².

Plus, she’ll create an exquisite collection of reinvented pre-loved pieces, exclusively on display in the Village from 27 September.

Get to know Vanille Verloës

French stylist and upcycling expert, Vanille Verloës, has long been troubled by global warming. She believes in slow fashion and, in a bid to challenge overconsumption in the fashion industry, champions alternative production methods in her work.

This might include short-circuit production and new digital technologies, such as blockchain technology, which provides the ability to trace origins and authenticate production lines. Whichever the method, she hopes to encourage ethical shopping habits and limit the production of clothes in unfair, exploitative conditions.

Vanille began by incorporating vintage pieces in her work as a fashion stylist. Then, in 2018, she started upcycling pieces to spotlight the technique. At the same time, she became passionate about technology and 3D printing, evolution and humanoids, and saw the creative possibilities offered by CGI and VR/AR technologies.

She also discovered the prospects of transparency and traceability offered by the blockchain technology. All this research led her to transform her upcycled pieces into digital assets – allowing her to design using materials and effects that aren’t physically possible.
