Inez Prat
Thanks to La Hacería, the search engine for Spanish artisans created by designer Moisés Nieto, Inez Prat’s work has come to the fore. The textile artist experiments with handlooms to achieve tapestries inspired by nature and contemporary art, in which simple shapes, minimalist compositions and textures stand out.
Binôme Atelier
Also found through La Hacería, Binôme Atelier – created by French-Spanish Sara and Swiss-Chilean Yessica – is a jewellery brand inspired by nature’s imperfections. The duo uses historical, artisanal techniques and their upbringings’ influences to create pieces with a raw, porous essence that’s simultaneously minimalist and soft.
Eturel
Eturel operates with the aim of revitalising village life, afternoons in the sun with neighbours and a slower approach to life. It creates decorative pieces with traditional fabrics like burlap, natural Alpujarra resources and canvas. Its ethos? To work with local suppliers and bring La Mancha textiles from the rural childhood of its founder Eduardo to the present.
La Oficial Cerámica
On a car trip through Portugal, stopping in each village to see the artisan ceramic workshops, Toni Torrecillas and José Barrio had the idea of creating a place to sell these unique crafts – so The Ceramic Official was born. Although the brand maintains the philosophy of selling a large part of its stock of Portuguese crafts by weight, the founders have added pieces from Córdoba, Granada, Mérida and Bisbal, as well as to those from renowned names such as Abe the Ape or Cristóbal Tabares.
VERBENA Madrid
As its name indicates, the accessories brand aims to create a sense of joy, celebration and a lot of fun. Just as each festival is unique, so are its collections. Sharing in the artisanal process and being one hundred per cent handmade, each piece’s polished finish and cultural influences from around the world contributes to VERBENA Madrid’s mission of enhancing its wearers’ beauty.
